I am still researching and reading thru my late uncles papers. DUANE FRITZ PLACE KIA 9-5-52 on hill 851. 25th division, 89th or 14th Tank. The letter that was sent to his parents gives general details of his death, but states he was killed instantly and suffered no pain which we know is not true from buddies who told my Grandparents how he talked after he was hit and was sent to hospital and died next day. Wondering, did they just always say person was killed instantly or what?? Any insight on this? Thanks Alison
