Hello to ALL,
My Dad was the Brigade's `Doc' in a photo that I have,
dated Jan 1, 1953. His name : John M. Wyman , M.D.
He passed in 2005, but ALWAYS enjoyed looking over his
Korean war slides with his family. Thank you evryone, for
your service!!!

My father served with the 704th Engineering Company (USAR, Utica, NY) that
was attached to the 409th.

Comments:

I served in this company from July 1951 - December 1952 in Pusan Korea and returned home for discharge in Jan 1953. Brig. General Henry Kellog was the Commanding Officer of the Headquarters Company of the 409th Engineer Brigade. Basic training was at Fort MacArthur, California privious to shipping out from San Francisco in July 1951 to Japan and then to Pusan, Korea. Many of the officers were Army Reserve. Afew of the enlisted men were AR but most were new draftees or RA.
If any one is from the 409th, I would appreciate hearing from them via e-mail.
