I was their from basic training from 1954, it was a Scarwaf Base at that time Army and Air Force. I was in Air Force, then on to Alaska, then on to Pease AFB N.H. out in 1958.

transfer from Fort Leonard wood to Beale in 1954 was there till it closed down in 1956. Worked in the heavy equipment section. Got married in dec. 1955 and lived in a trailer furnished by the FHA. Me and my wife really enjoyed Beale; except for the floor of '55-'56. Sorry to leave and return to the Army.

I served with this company at Beale AFB, Marysville, Ca in 1954 and 1955. SCARWAF stands for Special Category Army With Air Force. In 1954 I was 20 years old. I am now 71. Yikes ! That was a long time ago. Hope this info helps.
