I am looking for anyone who knew or has information about my
father, Jack Duane Curtis, who served in Korea. My mother has
misplaced his military records and I believe his records were
lost in the St. Louis fire. All I have to go on is an early
photo, showing the 24th Infantry Division patch on his uniform
and a later photo of him in uniform, in addition to his grave
marker, which reads, 'JACK DUANE CURTIS, MISSOURI, SGT HQ & HQ
CO 86 INF REGT, KOREA.' Any help or guidance would be
appreciated on obtaining more info about his military service.
Thank you!

Still looking for someone who knew my father- for a time, he was with the 24th Inf. division, from 1953-4- he was at the DMZ when the armistice was signed...would like to hear from others of you who were there too....He remembers Captain Story- do any of you? He was in Dog Company- originally with the 45th Div., 279th Reg. He was a prison guard for a time on Cheju Island with the Chinese POW's- remembers a Korean orphanage nearby and a missionary priest (possible Fr. Tom Ryan) who said Mass for them...anyone else remember this? He remembers another soldier named Joe (can't remember last name) whose father owned a deli and everytime he got a package with fresh pepperoni, he shared it with all the other guys- anyone else remember this? Hope to hear from someone-Elaine Pierce.

Looking for anyone who served with SFC Dave Grass Jr., Company A , 19th Rgt. 24th Infantry Division who was KIA in a mortar attack on April 20, 1951, in the area of Kalmal-myon in North Korea. He had been wounded about a month before he sent back to the front and KIA. I understand that Corp. Arthur Barlow was KIA on the same day, 4-20-51, and was also in Company A , 19th Rgt. 24th Infantry Division. I don't know if they knew each other. Corp.Barlow's niece has been trying to find anyone who knew him also. My home phone is 918-258-3246, Broken Arrow, OK.

Hoping for information on my uncle Melvin H. Morgan, 21st Regt. /24 Divison. He was listed as MIA on July 11, 1950, then as KIA in 1954. His last known vicinity was Chochiwon, Korea. My grandparents never received his remains, and just recently my dad and aunt have provided DNA samples in hopes of recovering his remains. We would like any information anyone can provide such as, stories, pictures, contacts, anything.

I was with the 52nd FA and assigned to the DIVARTY air section as a L-19 crew chief from 7/51 to 2/52, then rotated to Japan and reassigned to the 11 FA at Camp Youngens and Lanier field at Sendai and continued as a crew chief
Would like to hear from ANYONE that was there then and may have been at some time in contact with the air section or Hq batteries of the 52nd or 11th FA.
