I was at battalion HQ in Taegu, September 8, 1964 to September 8, 1965, working as a clerk in S2/3. My bosses were MAJ Philip L. Wozencraft, MAJ Benjamin E. Tant Jr., and SFC (E-6) Warren C. Horton. The battalion CO was LTC Douglas H. Carter, and HQ Co.'s CO was 2LT Douglas B. Marshall.
Trying to get the geography straight: I believe the battalion offices were on Camp Henry, and thought the EM billets for Long Lines were there too, but apparently HQ Co.'s offices were on Camp Walker. Can anyone who was there tell me where we slept at night? Where were the mess hall, the bank, the barber shop, etc. etc.? I'd be very grateful to know.

I've been searching for anyone connected w/Long Lines in Korea 60/61 and have found almost no reference to LL anywhere.I was there when Gary Powers was shot down and at the time never realized how serious it was.We were all called back to the compound and issued weapons and the compound gates were locked. I'd like to thank all of those from the 51st Sig Bn who mailed me with info and leads. You are very lucky to have your own web site and a good one at that. I have some pics of Hialeah compound and some of us out working with the line trucks, drop me a line for them. Happy holidays..........Paul Nally Co A EUSA Sig LL BN
