Just recently found out that this is the outfit my husband surved in, in Korea. He passed away in April 18, 2005, and I am trying to find out all I can about his army career. Is there anybody out there who remembers him? Hiw name was William Paul Maher, and he enlisted into the regular army from the National Guard in Lakewood, OH. He took his basic training at Ft. Sill, OK. One of his schooling periods was at Camp (now Ft.) Polk, LA.
I appreciate in hearing anything I can about my husband. Thank you in advance for all information you can send to me.

Anyone having any memory of my father Lt. Alan Al Fernandez I believe from C Co. of the 223rd.he was combat commissioned from Sgt.. He just passed away and wouldn't talk much about the war..
