I was a Hydraulic spec. but did a little of every thing. Our tent had a sign on the door that read 'Kimpo Asylum Immates-Jarvis Welty, Hal, Monson, tex and Woody. One friend of mine was Jim Boutelle from Jamestown, N.Y. (went to his wedding. I remember the 6 hour guard duty, Bedcheck Charlie, the Aussie fighterbomber in Butler hanger guns going off accidentally and killing and wounding a few guys. Also Moscow Molly telling us about our new white pick fence around the Sqd Headquarters and that we would be hanging by our necks in Buttler hanger or Xmas. Anyway it would be nice to hear from anyone in the Sqd. or anyone that remembers me. Thanks.

Hello, Gentlemen. I'm a feelancer writer who is working on an assignment for the AARP website www.aarp.org. The site plans to run a story by David Halberstam, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1964 for his reporting on Vietnam for The New York Times. Mr. Halberstam is currently writing a book about what happened when the Chinese entered the Korean War. I have been asked to solicit comments, thoughts, memories, opinions, etc. about the war from the veterans who served. These comments will appear in aarp.org's Korean War bulletin board (http://www.aarp.org/veterans/) - in conjunction with the publishing of Mr. Halberatsm's story - and hopefully spur further debate at a time when the Korean Peninsula is once agaon on the country's collective mind. If you are interested in participating - and I very much hope you will be - please contact me at mary@marybruno.com. Thanks very much.

Thanks for the comment on my Mustangs Over Korea book.
Comming up is one on the Sabre. To this: On June 24, 1953
Lt. Sam Jackson, 336th FIS, crashed on takeoff from K-14.
He was severly burned when his F-86 'took the barrier' and
burst into flames. He was rescued by a Colonel from the
67th TRW. Anyone have a clue as to whom this gentleman
might have been, and how he could be contacted? Sam sure
would like to thank him, personally, if h
