We (the 98th Bomb Group)deployed to the Far East in August 1950 with B-29s and flew Korean Combat out of Yokota AB, Japan.As an armament maintenance type, I only flew one one mission and that was to salvage the bombsight and guns out of a downed B-29. I spent quite a bit of time in Korea 1960-63. It could get the hottest in summer and coldest in winter of any place I've been.
