"Buhwal"(means "resurrection" in Korean) is the first powered aircraft made
by ROK Air Force.
Now I'm doing a research and writing a book about the aircraft, which is
commissioned by ROK Air Force History and Archives Agency.
I want to find out any US Air Force veterans who was served in the 6146th
Air Advisory Group (especially detatchment 1 at Sachon AB and Kimhae AB)
around 1953, the Korean War.
I would feel really thankful if anyone can provide your photos, records,
diary, memory and informations about the aircraft and so on. I also welcome
their family if the person was already passed away. (If you want, I'll pay
for that)
In South Korea, there're few records related to the aircraft and I believe
that I can gather much more informations via veterans of 6146 AFAG living in
America.
Please help me to find out aviation history of my beloved country.
Sorry for my short english.

My Dad TSGT Richard Thomas graduated 24 March 1952 from the 3380th Air Base
Group Radio Operator School at Keesler Air Base. He was shipped out right
after to Korea and was a Radio Operator on a C119 Boxcar. All his records
burned up in the 75 fire. I’m trying to fine out what group he was in. All I
have is a Service # and lots of pictures of guys in Korea on a base. He did
talk a little about it but not much. If anyone could help me or steer me
somewhere to fine any info. I have read & read and more research. Thank you
Bruce Thomas

Looking for info on my father, Charles Edward Clark, initially Army Air
Corps medic in Turkey and Europe, then USAF in Korea.
USAF first discharge 25 July 1951 shows no foreign service explicitly. That
was 101st Medical Group, Grenier AFB, Manchester, NH. AFR39-25 as amended
39-14 for immed reenlistment.
USAF second separation 30 Jun 1955 shows 2 years 5 months overseas, lists
Korean medals. Separation was Robins AFB, Georgia, again with immediate
reenlistment. 1 year 6 mo was in recruiting activities, rest in Korea, unit
cannot be determined from records obtained.
Third and final separation 19 Jan 1960 adds 18 mo. overseas, lists 823d
Medical Group SAC, specialty 90450B med lab spec.
Looking for anyone that can help find where he was located in Korea and any
details about his time there.
