I was at Kimpo Airfield in 1952 and part of 1953. On September 21, 1953 I was an Air Policeman on duty right next to the runway. I was shocked when a Mig-15 touched down right in front of me and my buddy. We took off after the Mig and when we arrived the pilot (LT No KUM-SOK) had already jumped to the ground and was about to be whisked away in a jeep. My buddy and I secured the area and confiscated camera (to which I am sorry I did) because many wonderful photos were never printed. Recently I was re-united with No Kum-Sok bt way of e-mailing. He sent me his book "A Mig-15 to Freedom". He was kind enough to autograph the book and he wrote almost an entire page of info for me. We hope to re-unite in person this summer. He lives in Daytona Beach, Fl. His American name is Kenneth H. Rowe. Hey fellows, email me and lets talk. Regards Tom Feltman, 4th Air Police Squadron Kimpo Airfield.

My Mother just gave me a letter written 12-24-1968, it was from my father. In this letter he spoke of his joy for the 82 men from the pubelo that were on their way home to their families and how happy they must have been. My mother explained to me that my father was one of the men whom was waiting on the other side of DMZ the day these men were released. I was only 8 at the time, and all I knew was that my chritmas wish was to have my father home, how proud I am of him that in such a lonely place he could be happy for those who were going home.

My father was a fighter pilot during the war. He flew the F-86's. He corrosponded with my mother every week and we have the letters. Although they are very dear and private, my wife feels they are a true love story. If someone is looking for such info please contact me and let me know what your purpose is.
