Was looking for friend from Laon AFB and saw your Uncle's name. He and his
wife
were friend's of ours when we were stationed at Offut AB in Nebraska IN 1965-
68
He took my sons for a ride on his motorcycle. I recall he and wife were
outdoor
folks and I bet they enjoyed their time in Alaska.Sorry I can't help you out
with the
info you want. I can't remember his wife's name!

My Uncle was a Command Pilot who flew in WWII - Korea - Vietnam, but
he didn't retire until sometime around 1975? Last assignment was as
Flight Command out of Fairbanks, AK in charge of all refueling flights to
Russia.
We would love to hear from anyone who may have known him or flew
with him. In retrospect, it appears he was initially with EIGHTH AIR
FORCE? > then 831st [Philippines and Korea]? >then SAC in Omaha >
Fairbanks for three years when retired. He past fall 2015 at age of 93 in
Jackson Hole, Wyoming. God Rest his soul. I have many photos and some
movie footage of 'the war', his planes, etc - if anyone is interested. Is
there a site where photos can be posted to share with others?
