Arrived at k55 early Jan.1955. Lived in hut next to the latrine east of ord room ..Worked at the wire center, Had a 3 position manual telephonel swbd.The operators were Korean women. .each of us had a ROK counterpart we trained.Mine was staf sgt. named PARK PIL HOON. Wore high top tennis shoes green color. Shipped out late in 55 and ended up on a marine base at Gifu JapanNever understood why we were there. There were 19 of us , as i remember.Best duty in the world. I tried to extend but Top Sgt told me I was going home and I did early March 1956
