Just wanted to pass along the Passing of my Father-Walter A. Scantlan. Dad passed away June 11th, 2011. Dad went into the Air Force on September 11,1951, he did his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He shipped out to Kimpo Air Force base in March of 1952 and left Kimp in April of 1953. He then went to Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas where he left the military in September of 1955 as a Staff Sargent. I am looking for anyone who knew my dad, he had been looking for years and I would like to finish his book for him. If you can help I would very much appreciate it.
