My Dad died from this disease 10 years ago. We never knew how he got it. I thought it was from some of the jobs he had years ago, but he was a korean vet and went to Germany for a while. I sent off for his records, but they said they couldn't find them. Should I still contact the local VA about this.

For those of you who have been diagnosed with ALS - Lou Gehrig's Disease, VA is recognizing this as a service connected disability (criteria - 90 days service and honorably discharged) - if you have been diagnosed with this disease (as my Dad was) please go to your local VA.
