I was an Air Force Radio Operator at K-16 Seoul from Oct 54
thru Jul 55. At midnight we made it a point to tune one of
our BC-779 receivers to the AFKN station broadcasting from
Seoul and put it on speaker and turn up the volume. I don't
remember the show nor the announcer, but at the stroke of
midnight he would blast out "Night Train" by Buddy Morrow as
his theme song. What a memorable moment in time.
