27 August, 2008 has been designated as Veterans Day at the Shenandoah County Fair. This day is to honor and recognize the contributions of the men and women, past and present, who have service in the U.S. Military. 10:00-22:00.
Exhibits and demonstrations include meeting the USAF Thunder Bird founders, a National Guard exhibit with the Dale Earnhardt Jr National Guard NASCAR#88, Rolling Thunder, personnel from the Martinsburg, WV veteran's hospital to explain eligibility for veteran's benefits and much more.
