Was in RAFB Brize Norton from Aug 1962 to May 1965 with a SAC B47 Bomber
Command. Loved the place, the people and Fish and Chips! My two little girls
went to school there and fondly remember their time England to this very day.
They came back speaking with a British accent.

For us, the British were highly intellectually educated, sophisticated
culturally and civilized people. The police (bobbies) didn't carry guns. My
family has very fond memories and the photos to go with it.

We all brought with us a little part of England in our hearts.

I am looking for the name of the Air Force Base in England in the 50's that closed around 1956 or so. My Uncle was a MSGT US Air Force and served in Korea, Vietnam. He is buried at the County Cemetery in Grass Valley CA (US Veterens Gravesite). His name was Glennon Lee Walley and was in England when he met my Aunt and married her. He was born 6-13-1936 and died in 1997. Can you help me find the name of the base and where it was? Also where to go to find out more about my Uncle and his service to the Air Force. Thank you so much Pamela Moore Email Pamelafairhop@gmail.com
