entered basic training at lackland on jan 3, 51 in tent city. remembered all the cold and other things that went with it. was in flight 1000. did not take basic. after a week or two was assigned to permament party in 3700 air installation sqd. in 52 ship

In tent city for basic training Jan 51. Flight 1000. Did not complete basic. Remember all the cold and hardships of that winter. Was pulled into 3700 Air Installation Sqd. as permanet party. Completed a year there, then off to Sondrestrom(BW8) Greenland(52-53),then off to 3rd radio relay sqd.
