Comments: Master Sergeant George Young was a member of the United States Army. On July 27, 1950, he was a passenger on a C-47D transport flying from Haneda Air Base to South Korea when it crashed into the ocean about 64 miles southwest of Tokyo, killing 24 crew and passengers. His remains were never recovered. One passenger survived.
