The squadron was pulled togehter to populate the new airfield at Tague by taking over the personnel of the Bout One and Dallas squadrons. Comprised of the nucleus of the 12th Fighter Bomber Squadron, the first operations out of Tague were commenced. The unit was soon disbanded and the 12th FBS was recomposed as part of the 18th FBW.
