I am the sister to Ross Joslyn, Tail Gunner, B-29, wounded in Korea when
his plane was shot and crippled, but cruised in for a crash landing at
Kimpo.

I am looking for anyone who flew with the B-29 crews in the 30th Bomb
Squadron, l9th Bomb Group from l95l-l952.

My brother, Ross Joslyn was a tail gunner and is looking for anyone from
the crew, especially a John Manzaris, left gunner (not sure of spelling,
spelling is phonetic).

I personally remember a plane named "Peace Maker". Although not the same
plane, the crew had to crash land at Kimbo after being put out of
commission while bombing a bridge near the Manchuria border. Anyone out
there remember? The year was l95l - 52.

I have been unable to find anyone else who may have some information
about the 30th BS. I was in Korea in 1953, in the 13th Bomb Squadron,
and am presently a member of the 13th Bomb Squadron Association, a
veteran's group that holds reunions each year, publishes newsletters,
etc.

Today I received a phone call from a lady in Nashville, TN, searching
for a Lyle Patterson who was in the 30th in Korea. Now, my question:
have you ever heard from any 30th Bomb Squadron veterans' groups, or
perhaps from someone who is keeping a history of the 30th, etc.?

If so, I would like to contact that person to try to locate this
Lyle Patterson.

Thank you for your time in reading this letter, and for your
response.
