To whom it may concern,
My name is Jeffrey Lee, from Virginia. I'm writing this on behalf of my
father: Loyce Carroll Lee who served a hitch in Tokyo,Japan with the above
squadron from 1952-1954. He was an A/1C. I'm not sure what this number means,
perhaps it's his I.D.# AF 1842 22 97 (if thats any help). The point here is,
are there any organizations or groups that have reunions or publish
newsletters that may pertain to my fathers tenure with this outfit? Please
help if possible. Thanks-a-million! Jeffrey Lee P.S. please e-mail me back.

There were I believe 5 detachments of the 1954th AACS squadron during the
K war. stationed at various bases in the far east. 1 was at Yokota,
another was at Johnson, both in Japan, and there were other detachments
on Okie, Kwadjelien, and Guam.

Their primary purpose was running the control towers, GCA, and other
communications facilities such as Tokyo control.
