My dad, Charles Sofios also known as Bird, was involved in the Korean War from 1952 to 1953. He was in both squadrons V.S. 24 and V.P. 24. He served on the ships the USS Siboney, the USS Palua, and the USS Cabot. He was stationed at the Naval Air Auxilliary Station in Chincatigue, Virginia, the Naval Air Station in Quensep, Rhode Island, and also at the Naval Air Station in Port Lyaultey, French Maraco. I am looking for a gentleman who went by the name of Snookie, another called Rich Faye and anyone else who may have known my dad. I want to have a reunion for him. Kimberlee M.
