Are you familiar with Attack Squadron 145 "The Swordsmen" ?
(sometimes also refer to themselves as Attack Squadron 702).

My dad was deployed on the USS Boxer (CV-21), sailing February 8, l952
operating with TF 77 supporting the ground troops.

The Swordsmen website has an insignia. Are you familiar with this
squadron and website?

I know through my mom that my dad's squadran was VA-65 and while in
Korea was part of a Night Attack Squadron. This is how he earned hi
Distinguished Flying Cross for completing his mission with a
"wounded" plane and taking the opportunity to do unexpected damage to
the enemy on his return the carrier.
