The Walke was mined and had many killed.

The destroyer Walke (DD723) was a Sumner Class. She was built at Bath
Iron Works in Maine. She was mined in Korean waters and took heavy
casualties among the Quartermasters and Signalmen.

I was there when she was brought along side the Bryce Canyon to be
repaired.

That's all I can give you about them, off the top of my head.

Your questions might trigger other memories, however.
