The USS Tortuga LSD 26 escorted her to Midway. Most pictures were of her under way. Close up and further out. if you have any information on who might be intrested let me know and I'll send them the pictures. At least five and maybe six. We have a lot of picture's of the Tortuga in Operation in Korea, including Junk's in the Well Deck. We were in the invation of Inchon, korea. I would appreciate you putting our name of our ship Tortuga LSD 26 onto the list of names that were present in Korea in 1950 on. I spent all of 51 in Korea and Japan. Frank D. It was brought to my attention by a good ship mate Richard Bowman, that served on the Tortuga, that there is no mention of the Tortuga on your Korean history. The Tortuga did play a prominent role in the Conflict. I just thought I would bring this to your attention. Copy of message in question enclosed. Tortuga history also enclosed. Please excuse a very long message, but thought you might like to be enlightened. Please take the time to read the complete history, I think you will find it very interesting, especially her last days. Web Site Charles R. Westbrook
