Served on USS Ozbourn (DD-846)--Inchon, Wonsan landings, Formosa patrol
and shore bombardment missions along east coast North Korea.

In 1995 Yucca Tree Press, Las Cruces, NM published a book of mine
entitled "Korea Remembered. Enough of a War" covering the USS Ozbourn
(DD-846) first tour to Korea. Included are Inchon, Wonsan landings,
Formosa patrol and the winter campaigns along the East Coast including
shore bombardment duty in Wonsan harbor. Book sells for %17.95 and is
available directly from Yucca Tree or through book store such as Barnes
and Noble. I'd be happy to provide further details if needed.

Sincerely,
Charles F. Cole. (614) 846-0326, Worthington, Ohio 43085

i was on the destroyer uss ozbourn and saw action in the korean war.

i give the ground forces all the credit they deserve but feel the navys
contributions in the korean war are very much overlooked my ship saved
meny of the ground forces lives we destroyed enemy troops their supplys
and kept them from comeing behind the troops from the sea.im proud to
have been part of these things how meny of our boys are alive today
because we were there.
