There is an excellent book about the Chosin Reservoir battle "CHOSIN" by Eric Hammel I got a copy at Hastings Publisher is Presidio Press Novato Ca. 94945 there is quite a bit of information in the book . I would like to obtain some detailed area maps of the Hungnam area of North Korea - I was at the Chosin Reservoir evacuation on Dec. 24-25-26 on the Destroyer Norris (DDE859) we were fired upon by mortars and a katusha rocket barrage. I am writting a novel about the Korean war and have gotten much information from the net. Being in the navy - I never was familiar with the grid -coordinance system used to spot artillary fire both navy and army - could some one give me a run down on this? I am hoping the grand kids will get something out of the novel.. Bill Briggs SO2 USN retired
