Sailed from Bremerton, WA to Sasaebo, Jpn. On 13 Spt 1950 the ship sailed for Sasebo, Japan, arriving Oct 8, 1950. As support vessel, participated in the Wonson Invasion in November, saw action off the Pusan perimeter, involved in the evacuation of Hungnam and participated in the Inchon Invasion. Besides the 5 Battle Stars, ship awarded 2 Presidential Unit Citations. Have the deck logs for three years running for the ship, from 6/1/50 to 6/10/53. Looking for buddies and interested in hearing from crew members from that era.
