Naval Academy, graduating in the class of 1955. We sometimes calld her the Iwo Jima since she was an old WW II ship and reputedly took part in the invasion of that island. Her electronics was from the WW II era as well and not taught at the electronics technician school at Treasure Island that I went to in 49 50. Would like to hear from anyone who was on my ship.
