Our next reunion is set for 9 - 11 September 1999 at the Holiday Inn,
San Diego Bayside.
At our last one we presented a plaque to the ADM Nimitz Museum for the
"Wall of Honor." It recogines the Firedrake for her role in WWII, Korea
and Vietnam.
We look forward to seeing all of our Shipmates in'99.

was recommissioned Oct. 1951 and operated thruout the Korean
conflict suppling ammunition to the fleet and shore bases. I was on her
from 1951 to 1954. and would like to see her recognized and maybe
locate some of my old shipmates.

The Firedrake was commissioned in 1942, mothballed in 1946(?),
re-commissioned in 1951, and decommissioned in 1970. She served in the
Pacific in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. I was aboard from 1951 to 1954.
