I was stationed in the Navy from 1952-53 near Pusan. We were a Service
Craft Unit made up of LCU's at an Army Ammunition Dump. I have heard it
referred to as Yong Do Ammo Dump. Can you tell me if this is it?
We could see K-9 airbase across the water from ship.

The unit I was with was Service Craft Unit Four, we came under Commander
Naval Forces Far East and consisted of about four or five LCU's or LSD's
(both the same) I was on the 1080. I remember at the ammo dump the Army
guys lived in Quonset huts. We hauled the ammo ashore from the merchant
ships and the Army had Korean labor load the trucks to take the ammo to
the front.

Hope this helps.
