Arrived at the 936 FAB - 155 Howitzers in October, 1952. We were
located behind the 555th FAB - 105 Howitzers and they were behind the
ROK1 Infantry Unit. Just before the Cease Fire, in March, 1953 the CCF
moved on the ROK1 and they bugged out, leaving the 555th to be 'Overun'
and may captured. We were just over the next ridge from the 555th.

I was there at The Cease Fire and remember it well. From there I went
back to Camp Indianhead, then home. I landed in Seattle, Washington and
after several airplanes, arrived home in Miami, Fla where my wife and
family were waiting for me to come down the stairs and back to them.

I fell asleep on the last leg of the trip and slept through the Miami
landing. Only after all had deplaned and what seemed like a very long
time, I came down the stairs and back to my family and wife.

After the Korean War Service, I got the G.I. Bill, bought a Home, Went
to College at The Univ. Of Fla College of Pharmacy, Got licnsed as a
Pharmacist and practiced Pharmacy for 3 years. Then I started to work
for E.R. Squibb & Sons, Inc. on October 1, 1960. I retired in 1992
with a wonderful retirement and benefits. My youngest daughter and her
husband are Pharmacists and my Son In Law works at the V.A. Hosptial
here in Richmond, Va.

So if it were not for 'Korea - The Forgotten War', probably none of
these memories would have come true.
