I am looking for any one remembering a Rene Robert Faucher.
He is my uncle that I have not seen in 25 years this Christmas. I have
located his discharge records that give the following information.H&SCo
76th Engr Const Bn APO 301. He spent 8wks in Eta Jima, Japan 1953.
He received 3 bronze Service Stars, U.N.Service Medal, National Defense
Service Medal, and Meritious Unit Commendation. I have pictures of a
friend from that time but have no idea who it is. The discharge paper
is dated March, 1954 and I believe he had been in for 2 years. If you
would be so kind to post this I would greatly appreciate any
information anyone would have. thank you Denise Vachon-Dickinson

My father served in Korea in the 8th Army, in the 76th Construction
Engineers, 1951-52. I do not know his division or company.
I would like to know what type of combat they were involved in, as
well as the construction projects they were involved in.
Can you help?

Are there any of the old bunch who built Operation Big Switch out there
on the web? If so, I would love to hear from you!
