I went to AOL and under "keyword" typed in 43rd MASH and found that the 43rd was, as I remembered, just northwest of Uijongbu during the 1950's. The 121st was located near Seoul so I'm sure you came through the 43rd enroute to the 121st. The information at the website also confirms that the TV series MASH was based on the 43rd. It was closed out in 1997 as one of the four remaining MASH units in the U. S. Army. In 1955 I went to the 43rd along with my entire unit to have a chest x-ray. It was one of those mandated "everyone will have one" things so one afternoon we rode duce and a half's a few miles up to the 43rd, got the x-ray and returned home. I have always thought that was the unit the TV series was based on and this confirms it. Several of the original stars of the show attended the closing ceremonies in 1997.
