Calvin Ford
I have found your site to be very interesting and it has helped me to
learn a little more about my dad and his involvement in the Korean
War.
I would like to know if you have any information concerning the 1092nd
Combat Engineers Bttn. They were a National Guard unit from
Parkersburg WV.
My dad's name is Calvin R. "Bud" Ford and he served with the
1092nd. He is still living and currently resides in Elizabeth, WV.
You can contact me at:

Thank you!

Hello from Ft. Eustis. VA.
Came across your home page while looking for information for my
father. He is really interested in locating some of his old friends
and acquaintances from the Korean War. If you could include his
info in your site it would be appreciated.
His name is David B. Fontaine (Sr). He attended basic training
in Hawaii April 1951 for 16 weeks. Spent the winter of 51/52
working his way up to the 38th from Pusan which is where the
ship landed (I think). The 1092 Combat Engineer Battalion (where my
father was) was attached/assigned to a National Guard unit under I
Corp.
From Korea he went to Camp Polk (52-54). Assigned to the 37th MP
Company, 37th Division. From there to Ft. Devens to finish his
enlistment.
If anyone wants more information, they can e-mail me at:
RetMDV@aol.com, or contact my father at:
PO Box 76, Townshend, VT 05353
(802) 365-7695.
Currently, I am in the US Army and would be glad to help in any way
I can.

I would very much appreciate your help in locating specific web sites
with information that I can pass along to my Father (a Korean War
Veteran) with regard to reunions, information, etc. I have looked
through your Korean War Project site, but have not found anything
specific based on the information I have, which is as follows:
My Father (Jack Cupito) was sent to Korea in April 1952 and came home
in 1954. He was an Engineer (?) in the 8th Army Division, 1092nd
Engineers Combat Batallion, Headquarters Company. He was stationed in
the Imjim River area in North Central Korea.
Thank you very much for any help you can give me. I would very much
like to surprise my Father and maybe contact other Veterans who were
stationed with him during his service.
Thanks again.
