Comments: Private First Class Fontaine was an original member of the 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, moved to the 27th Infantry Regiment on September 6th.He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 15, 1950. The 29th was attached to the 19th Infantry Regiment from July 28th through September 4, 1950. He was fondly known as "Junior."
Son of Mrs. Elizabeth T. Hollis of Chester, Pennsylvania.
