Comments: Private First Class Deon was a member of the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on October 14, 1952. According to nephew Michael De Young, PFC Deon was from a small community called Beech Hill, just outside Antigonish, Nova Scotia. His mother was from the US and he may have been living in Maine at the time.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Deon of Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
