Comments: Private First Class Chastain was a member of the 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on December 20, 1950. Until June 24, 2011, DOD records cited his middle name as "Hilmon." His cousin Doris Edwards confirmed this was incorrect and supplied his middle name as "Hilman." His sister, Blenda Chastain Allen, lives in Easley, South Carolina.
