Born in Clower, Van Zandt County, Texas. His family moved from Bienville Parish, Louisiana to Bryan Oklahoma. His parents were Ida Mae and Mason Carroll. He was known as "A.D." and "Dee." BAR Man. He was from Van, Texas, and later Bakersfield, California.
Son of Curtis Carroll and Ida Mae Carroll of King City, California. Husband of Mrs. Audrey D. Carroll of Yuma, Arizona.
