Comments: Captain Engelbreit was a passenger on a B-26C with the 8th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Group based at Kunsan Airfield (K-8), South Korea. On May 21, 1953, while on a night intruder mission, the aircraft became iced and crashed near Chunchon Airfield (K-47). He was a flight surgeon with the 3rd Medical Group. He graduated from St. Louis University Medical School.
Son of William F. Englebreit and Elizabeth T. Engelbreit.
