Comments: First Lieutenant Thompson was a member of the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on April 16, 1953. He was Company Commander at the time of his death. Prior to that he was Executive Officer until the Company Commander was wounded and he took over.
Husband of Mrs. Joyce J. Thompson of Florence, South Carolina.
