Comments: First Lieutenant Potts was a decorated veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Battery A, 15th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division. While serving as a liaison officer to the 21st Republic of Korea Infantry Regiment near Hwachow, South Korea, he was Killed in Action on February 13, 1951. Department of Defense citations list March 31, 1951 final status which may indicate when his remains were recovered.
