Comments: Private Meuse was a member of the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 4, 1952. Micmac Native American. He was originally from tribal lands at Bear River First Nations, near Halifax Nova Scotia. The family migrated back and forth to the US for farm work. He enlisted in Aroostock County, ME.

Patricia Doucette: I do have a picture of Clarence Thomas Meuse with Me (Patricia) and my sister (Judy), my mother (Marguerite L McEwan) and his sister in law (Lois Meuse). Taken in Albany New York, where at the time my Aunt Lois and Clarence’s brother (Frank) lived. Clarence came from a family of 10 children including himself. This is the list of brothers and sisters: James William Meuse born July 25, 1917 and died March 11, 1945. John Meuse born April 26, 1917 and died Aug 9, 1922. Marguerite Lillian McEwan nee Meuse born May 7, 1919 and died May 2, 1989. Louis Meuse born Jan 25,1921 died April 22, 1985. Joseph Sobey Meuse 1922 died June 13, 1986. Olive Meuse Oct 23, 1924 died Dec 28, 1944. Frank Stephen Meuse born 1926 died Feb 13, 2008. Bruce Thomas Meuse born March 25, 1933 died Oct 29, 1979. Oliver Joseph Meuse Oct 1, 1927 died Oct 11,2009. Clarence Thomas Meuse Born July 13, 1929 died Nov 4, 1952
Brother of Mrs. Magurite McEwan of Bear River, Nova Scotia.
