Comments: Private First Class MacLeod was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on September 23, 1950 and returned to duty on October 11, 1950. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 28, 1950. His remains were not recovered until his remains were repatriated from a mass grave in 2002 after construction uncovered his remains near the Chosin Reservoir. DNA provided by his half brother, Bernie Potter of Cheboygan, was used to identify PFC MacLeod. He was laid to rest with full military honors on January 19, 2008, at the Pine Hill Cemetery, according to a an Associate Press story on January 19, 2008 derived from the Cheboygan Daily Tribune.
