Hi Ted:

This is a funny one, or not so funny, depending on your point of view. There was a Tech Sgt. in the armament section of the 154th, his first name was Charlie, I don't recall his last.

He was one of the nicest guys from Little Rock. Some of them were real jerks. Anyhow, Charlie had been in the Air Force during WWII and as I recall had spent quite a bit of time overseas in the South Pacific.

When the 154th was activated Charlie, being in the 154th, had to go also. I guess he owned a hardware store and had to sell it as a result. Here is the tragic part, and don't think Charlie wasn't kicking himself day in and day out. He had joined the Air National Guard because he could get his auto license plates for HALF PRICE!! Isn't that something?

Don.
