Comments: we were located at the largest railroad siding in korea as part of the 30th ordnance battalion just outside of Seoul. we received ,processed, and shipped the ordnance materials of many of the divisions after the armistice working 24/7 to allow a timely evacuation under the agreements . we shipped as many as 200 flat cars and box cars a day to expedite our goals .we shipped vehicles to japan to be rebuilt, old WW2 jeeps to the ROKA, certain armored vehicles back to the US. all guns from pistols to cannons were also processed and exported.
I left in 55 and have lost contact with all the fellow officers .Would like to hear from any of them

Comments: My father Lt. Gentle Banks served in the 57th Ordnance Recovery Company from 1950-1953. Just wondering if there is anyone who might remember my father. My father's postings after Korea were France, Ft. Ord, Savanna, IL Army Depot, Viet Nam, Ft. Sam Houston, Zweibrucken Germany, and Ft. Sheridan. He retired from the Army a Colonel in 1971. He passed away in 1994.
