Comments: I served in the 518th from Oct. 1954 to Mar. 1955 when it was disbanded and sent back to the states. We were then reassigned to the Long Lines Signal Group, 8226 Army Unit. I was in Company "A" and would like to hear from anyone that served at the same time. Its been fifty years.

Comments: I was assigned to 518th as a radio repairman but ended up being the company clerk because I could type 60-70 w.p.m. It was ok as the war had wound down so the duty was good. As the 518th was being deactivated in 1955 I was transfered to the 8226 Unit in Pusan until I was discharged.
My first Sgt. was Wisnewski if any one remembers him. I deactived the 518th by myself (doing all of the book work) and got a nice letter of commendation from the warrant officer in charge at the 8226. I think his name was Nawrocki. If I am right, I don't have altzeimers yet.
My good friends were Jim Hill, Shel Prager and I havent heard from either in 50 years.

Comments: I've been looking for the shoulder patch that
was worn by KcomZ personnel. My original unit
was 304 Signal which was directly under Eighth
Army Command when I arrived in Korea. We built
a vhf radio link which connected the Inchon
Switchboard (Radish) to the Seoul (Victor)switch-
board and the hospital ships which anchored miles
off the shore due to Inchon's super tides. This
operation was taken over by KcomZ in 1954 and
I've been trying to find it's "Flaming Honeybucket" shoulder patch in recent years.
