Comments: I'm the grandson of a now passed WWII veteran and trying to find out about the unit in which he served in during his service. I have looked diligently through information on the net and I am now seekd the help of others, if you may know of or even served in the 4th Ordanace Medium Maintaince Company during the timeframe of April 1945 until April 1946, I would be most appreciative of any information anyone might have or know where to obtain it from.

Respectfully,
SSG T. Martin

Comments: I was assigned to Headquarters Detachment, 4th Ordnance Battalion and served there from October, 1952 through January, 1954. Ordnance companies assigned to our unit were the 2d, 5th, 107th and 538th. Later, the 17th and 21st were added as well as the 44th Ordnance Depot. Many memories from that era but was special were the AFRS broadcasts from stations like "Gypsy", "Vagabond" and "Nomad". I was custodian of the NCO club and met many of our fellow soldiers from The UK, Canada, Australia and many other places. The NORMASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital was a short distance from out unit which was located 3-miles North of Dongducheon along what was then route #33. I have been back to Korea twice, once on business in 1993 and in 2001 for a battlefield tour.
