Unit: 91ST DIVISION, G5-AVIATION

Service or Relationship: Family Member

Comments: My father, Francis L. Keim, was a corporal in the 388th Chemical Smoke Generating Company, 6th Army. They left Seattle for Japan and then Korea in December 1950. He passed away in February 2001 before the world changed. I am interested in any information about the unit and it's members. I have his DD214 and it mentions the Occupation Medal-Japan, and the Korean Service Medal with 1 bronze service star.

Keywords: Dad mentioned landing in Korea in Pusan. He also said that Korea was the coldest he had ever been, including growing up in Oklahoma during the Depression.

Comments: Unit Historian - US Army Reserves

I am looking for information on the 388th Chemical to include Lineage and Honors in the Korean Conflict.

We have seen the KWP page and found some tidbits, but not the awards section. We will be calling to the Official US Army Lineage section.

Comments: I just happened onto this site and wondered what happened to the old 388th Chemical Co. S.G.
Also am looking for an old friend from there--
Jack Carney. We worked with the smoke generators and in the motor pool from April 53-July 54.
Thanks!
